Has anyone attempted to make adjustments to your slides if they don't close properly? We just bought our new fiver this weekend and slide on living room/dining room closes at the TOP but is about 1 1/2 inches off at the bottom.
Can we adjust this ourself? The dealer adjusted it when we picked it up - but after one opening and closing it is off again!

Jody, I recommend you have the dealer make the adjustments so that you maintain the warranty. Also make sure the battery voltage is up real good before operation the slideouts. THe top may seal first but continuing to retract with good battery voltage may pull the bottom in completely. Good luck and keep us posted.

Slides normally stay pretty well adjusted UNLESS there is a problem like something moving or something has slipped.
It is best to take it to the dealer and let him worry about why the slide is not behaving like it should.

Use your factory warranty while you have it. Soon enough it will expire and you begin to spend money for these things.
If you are determined to do-it-yourself, here is a service manual. Keep in mind it's much easier to mess it up than do it correctly. If you mess it up, there goes your warranty.

Jody, did you ever get that taken care of? We have a 07 Cardinal that has the same problem. It has been in the shop at least 10 times to get fixed and always goes back out of wack about every other trip. We have supposedly broke a gear twice and sheered a pin...that is why it is going out of wack. Any ideas...Forest River doesn't care, Lippert doesn't care, and our dealer calls them, but doesn't seem to do much either. My husband is ready to sell it...that frustrated. If anyone has any advice that would be great...live over 10 hours from the factory and it has already been seen by two dealers.
