We have a 07 Cardinal that has living room slide issues. It has been used at best 15 times and starting the third time when we would slide out the slides you would hear a clunking noise on the living room slide. The left side is fine, but the right slide the top is fine but the bottom doesn't go out far enough and when it comes in it sucks in too far. It has been in the shop at least 10 times to get fixed and always goes back out of wack. We have supposedly broke a gear twice and sheared a pin...that is why it is going out of wack...they say. Any ideas...Forest River doesn't care, Lippert doesn't care, (called them all several times) and our dealer calls them, but doesn't seem to do much either. We are ready to sell it...that frustrated. If anyone has any advice that would be great...live over 10 hours from the factory and it has already been seen by two dealers. Otherwise...who else makes frames besides Lippert?

<span class="ev_code_BLUE">Welcome to irv2.com!</span>

Go hereto download a service manual for your Lippert slide mechanism. Have you lubricated any moving/sliding mechanical parts? Use only "dry slide" type lubricants, never use greasy or oily lubricants, they combine with road dirt, sand, etc., to create a crude grinding compound.
If your unit is still covered by warranty, I suggest taking it to the manufacturer for repair or adjustment. Sometimes dealers service departments are just not on top of the issues.

We have a Cedar Creek with slide problems and found by trial and error that chances are the room when going out is a couple teeth off on the sprocket. The way I cured mine was to go to the hydralic cylender side and unbolt the sproket gear and let it drop out of the track. then with a tape measure , measure the difference between one side of the room to the other and push or pull the room and get the same measurement from on end to the other, then put the sprocket gear back in place. I had to use a jack to get the sproket back in postion to replace the one bolt. I hope this is clear just take your time and be careful
