I shocked to hear of slide problems. Every dealer I’ve ever spoken to has assured me that they never see this problem. I would think that any slide that had a heavy refrigerator in it would never have a problem. Can’t see the correlation.
Oh I forgot. My brothers close to six figures Forest River Champagne Edition’s main slide broke on the third use. They call it the Champagne Edition because if you drink enough of it you don’t really care about the problem, until you sober up. Then you’re not happy.
Which is where you are I guess. Sorry for your problems but it is very common.

Good friends of mine bought a Sanibel a couple of years ago and had so much trouble with the slides that it went back and forth to the factory and still had problems. The dealer eventually took it back and let them pick another unit.

This is the same dealership I bought my rig from and I chatted with the sales guy about it since they had a Sanibel on the lot marked down by a lot (wasn't what we wanted, but since it was there I asked him about it). He said that there are two kinds of Sanibels, those that have slide problems that can't ever be resolved and those that never have problems at all. Crap shoot on which one you get.
