Slide support bars small

Hard to believe how small the slide/support bars are on the new/late model 5th wheel trailers!
My RV neighbors geared slide bar is attached to the outboard side by the way of a welded plate.
Anyway the plate that is welded on the end of the slide bar is bent! Any ideas?

Stano; I see your post has had 100 views with no replies ,, any chance you could post a photo of the problem, and more info on the unit the problem is on, year, model and size of the slide.
