Slideout Awning Help

I have a 2004 Coachman Chaparral 276rls with a Carefree of Colorado awning topper that is sagging. I need advice on adjusting tension, and or the specs to read. Anyone have any info?

Thanks,

Tim

Hi Tim,

I am not sure that you can adjust the spring tension to make a difference, you may have to purchase a new piece of fabric. Alternatively you could also remove the fabric and have an upholstery shop shorten it some.

He is a link for replacement of a new piece of fabric, hope it helps you out. It is a good video to see.

I have Carefree of Colorado slide toppers on a 2011 Jayco Pinnacle, and I just replaced the fabric on all three, and solved the sagging problem. See my blog article for details, http://canadafulltimers.blogspot.ca/...r-awnings.html
