I have a Keystone, model Springdale with a slide. The rack and pinion that slide the section will not go in. The slide is out at the moment and the battery is fully charged. Any suggestions on how to persuade the slide to cooperate?

Is there any noise of the motor running when you hit the switch? If so, might be lockpin in the motion transfer bar that equalizes the 2 slide bars. You will have to open the belly pan to see what is going on. If no noise/racheting, then maybe a fuse or faulty switch.

Many brands have a manual crank and an access hole located on the opposite side of the trailer. But even before that, if you don't hear any motor noise when using the switch, then there is an electrical problem, motor, fuse, switch or loose wire. On most units, the transfer tube between the two racks is next to the frame and clearly visible, not hidden in the underbelly. Some times one side may jump a tooth or two and get out of sync. Also, the tube has a sheer pin to prevent serious damage.
