Sold our 5th wheel:(

With some regrets we sold our 2006 Wildcat 5th wheel. It served us well !! we bought it in 2009 and it first was parked in an RV resort for a year and a half and served as our second home. We went to the resort almost every weekend and had a great time.
Second, we lived in it for 10 months as we left Florida in March 2011 and came back in January 2012, after going to Alaska for our trip of a lifetime. What a great time we had.
Then in 2014 we did a 4 month trip from Florida to Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and back. Another bucket list trip!
We have stayed in 100 campgrounds and traveled over 37,000 miles in the past 4 years. The Wildcat has served us well with no real breakdowns other than one blowout.
Someday we may purchase another camper but this chapter in our lives has come to an end. It has been a wonderful journey and we are looking forward to the next chapter!!
PS our tow vehicle has been a 2007 Chevy 2500 diesel, crew cab, 6 and a half foot truck bed. It has 125,000 now and ran perfect the whole time.

Remember -- Do not put off living the life you dream of. Next year may never come. If we are always waiting for something to change ... retirement, the kids to leave home, the weather or the economy, that's not living. That's waiting! Waiting will only leave us with unrealized dreams and empty wishes.

Said so well MGA60 ! We too have had an incredible time and now find ourselves in a situation where we will need to move on to another phase of our life. We are soooo happy we have gotten to do the things we have done.

Now as we enter a new adventure, and begin the process of selling our rig and truck, we are having no small amount of apprehension. But you have no way of knowing whats ahead, so doing the things you want to do, while you still can, is the way to avoid major regrets. Good luck to you.

I love your quote at the end, we live our life similar to these lines! We sold our home to live on a houseboat for 10 yrs, before our youngest was out of school, just sold her last yr, we have 2011 Big Horn and we've had issues, but I love her still! We too have traveled to ck off our bucket list, Alaska in 07, we were fairly young and huffing and puffing on those trails, Right then I decided we were not gonna wait till we retire to travel & last yr we ck'd off Ireland. Who knows how good your health will be ? Each year we will ck off a place on the bucket list. Guess I better start looking at Hawaii stuff, but I really want to pull our rig from Texas up to Montana way!
Wishing you much luck on the next phase of your journey here on earth! "Carpe Diem!"

You sold the youngest???

It sure it great to hear from those who have managed many years of road enjoyment, with the family too. We're working on it...
