Have had both LineX and Rhino. Both times The hitch was drilled and mounted and then removed BEFORE the liner was spayed in. Hitch-guy prefered to do it that way as holes were already in and material got into holes before hitch was mounted. Both dealers that applied the material agreed. When we removed the hitch from the first truck (which my son still has) he just put plugs in the holes. If I ever have to do it again, will follow the same procedure.

Installing a hitch over a Bedrug should be ok--it will just crush the rug to almost nothing anyway. Have a friend with a Pullrite Superglide over a Bedrug--works just fine.

I'd be interested to here what the issue with Line-X is too. I have had both Line-X and Rhino (2 Line-X and 1 Rhino). Both are good, but personally I prefer Line-X. My new truck has the factory applied liner. I also had a hitch installed over both liners without issue.

Waiting to hear why Line-X sux also.

Linex is guaranteed for life. Factory bedliner only 3 years.

I have had Linex and Rhino both on multiple trucks. I prefer the Linex and it seems more resistant to cuts. It is a lot rougher on the knees if you have to kneel down on it. I have also had a B&W Companion on a Rhino lined truck, no problems. My current setup is a B&W Companion with the Ford factory prep, so the hitch does not rest on the Linex, it sits on the 4 mounting sockets that are flush with the bed.
