Do you know if the 6.7's have them?

Thanks...at this point I'm thinking of just dumping Fords completely and just look for Dodge or Chevys.

All brand of truck 2008 and newer have dpf unless you buy a deleted one, and then you have to deal with the possibility of other problems.

Like flat tires?
Seriously the emissions systems are the single most troublesome and costly repair on ANY AND ALL new diesel engine

All brands of trucks have their problems. Motors, transmissions, suspensions. Personal preference will drive your decision more than anything else. I bought a 2003 F250 6.0 and have had no issue with it. 115000 miles towing all sorts of loads. So far I have replaced tires, shocks and ball joints. All of these are normal wear items. So don't listen so much to the nay sayers and go with what you like. Enjoy life!

I'm primarily a Ford person, but during the Ford/International lawsuit erra, I switched to a GM product. It was a 2007.5 3500 w Duramax/Allison. Allisons are bullet-proof and set the standard for both Ford and Dodge. I loved that truck and I put 186K miles. I only had one issue with the transfer case while under warranty.

Forget what the brochure says and forget the dry weight. It'll be a minimum of 20% on the pin!

Personally I would never buy a used Diesel truck with 150K miles, buy New you can get a lot better deal if you shop around.

I'm just telling you what I see out here. I'm an over the road driver with a Cummins in our truck that went almost a million and a half before needing an unframe. I'd say 90% of the pickups out here are dodges
That's fine by me had many mopars over the years and by and large trouble free
Well, I just returned from an approx 1000 mile trip this past weekend and paid attention to all of the truck's out there that were pulling trailers.....camping trailers, 5ers, enclosed trailers, flatbed trailers of all kinds, pretty much any pickup truck pulling a trailer. What I saw was NOTHING even close to 90% of any brand. Ford probably was the most popular ones on the road, and then I would say that Chevy/GMC/Dodge was about even for second place.

One thing about a Ford.....if you've got a football field to turn around in, you'll be fine....turning radius sucks!......This old Dodge has 180,000 miles on a stock Cummins and trans, 342 gears, has been to east coast and all around US,twice, and still gets 14.2 mpg towing and 21.4 naked....tows at 64 mph, and gets oil changed at 7000 miles....this truck was bought in 2001 with 22,000 show'n, and was a special ordered truck with towing package
