Stellar 5er

Anyone have anything to say (good, bad or otherwise) on a Stellar 40tsg for family camping/desert riding?

Heavy rascal! 18,000 wet and loaded weight, with about 3,700 pounds wet and loaded hitch weight. It will overload most one-ton duallys. So I hope you have at least a 450/4500 tow vehicle. That trailer is why Ford makes the F-450 pickup.

Looking at a 2008 model, w/a gvwr of 17k. They must've gotten bigger since then.

Don't know much about the company. Had an Eclipse Attitude TT that I liked, does anyone know anything about the Stellar line up?

Stellar 40

I have a 2009. I pull it with a 2009 Ford F350 with air bags with no problems. I take it to Ocotillo, Pismo Beach, San Diego and the River several times a year. I'm in San Diego as I type this.

Ok as far as the Trailer goes...I love it. I upgraded from a 24 foot bumper pull and wow what a difference all the extra room makes.

Now to the use full stuff for you. I do both dry camping and full hook ups. Dry camping I can go 9 days with my wife and I at Ocotillo without needing to move to dump. I bring extra water (42 gal) and extra fuel (20 gal). If you watch the length of showers and dish washing you can get a good amount of time out of the holding tanks. If you have full hook ups, it's like living in a small apartment. I added satellite dome and a better living room TV as well as a solar panel for dry camping. I also upgraded the interior lights to LED to get better battery life when dry camping.

I have had one of the garage door springs break (easy to replace). Also needed to replace the main air conditioner thermostat ($40) last week. Other than that nothing else has gone bad. Also the Maxxis tires are awesome. Bought trailer in 2007 and original tires are still in great shape.

I love this trailer and just got my brother to buy one. I would recommend it any day. Send me a message if you have further questions.
