Stuck slides

Live full time in a 2007 Keystone Raptor 5th wheel. Went to move it the other day, and the slides wont retract. If I hit the extend button, it tries, just not retract.
There are three slides, but only one switch.

Perplexed...

I had a slide switch go bad and had similar results. The contacts were burned. Replaced the switch and solved the problem.

Could be bad slide switch, bad batteries, bad relays.
Hydraulic system, electric screws, plugged into shore power, lights dimming when pushing buttons?

Wow.... I found the problem. Hydraulic pump only wants to extend. Lightly tapping on edge of housing, and I can retract sides.
I found company name on label, and to my surprise they are still in business. Not sure for how long though. They want almost $1250.00 for the unit. Do not sell just the motor.
Anybody have any luck replacing just the hydraulic pump motor?
Says the pump motor is Parker bi-directional on a Lippert unit.

Not my day!

I doubt the motor is your problem

You need a volt meter, and at the very least, a test light.

The issue could be your switch, or relays on the pump assembly.

Actually the motor is good. Wonder if I can replace the brushes.
To make it work, I need to tap on the edge of the motor lightly to convince the motor to run backwards.

So you have verified that the motor is getting all 12V+ power in both switch positions, thereby verifying the relays, circuit breakers, switch, and battery?

Yes, took inside cover loose to verify 12v there also. Both sides of switch are good.
The solenoid has good voltage on slide in or out.
Watching battery while pressing switch has no difference until the motor starts.

Ok. I just wanted to make sure you weren't jumping to conclusions about a bad motor just because a solenoid possibly wasn't switching and engaging, especially since you didn't mention anything.

One thing I will admit is, I like the solenoid on this pump. Looks like it will run for quite a while.
Just disappointed on the motor.
Oh, and the $1250.00 PRICE for replacement.

Did you check ebay for the motor since you have the model number?
Or Colaw RV Salvage in Carthage MO?

Saw a unit on eBay for $500.
I will check the MO option.
Thanks.
