Suggestions to reduce glare from rock shield?

Hello All,
I have a aluminum rock shield on the front of my 5ver and when backing at night the reverse light from the truck produces so much glare I can't see past the end of the truck. I'm thinking about some type of cover over the lights or finding the light circuit and adding a switch. Duct tape would be a total mess lol.

Anyone else have this problem or other ideas/suggestions?

A switch would work, but I'd wire it so it resets 'On' when truck ignition is turned on again. Another solution would be to mask and spray paint the outer ends of the aluminum shield a nice, non-reflecting color. You could even spray it with a can of bed-liner to make it so light doesn't reflect.

The bed liner works, son did a painted "bra" on the front of his 4x4 P/U. Looked good and lasts for ever.

Thanks a lot for the bed liner idea, I like it. Got to do something since I work full time and a lot of times I do not get setup until after dark. It's a real pain to back a 5ver when you can see behind you!

I knew a guy who would just slap painter's tape on this lights when needed. Leaves no gummy residue.
