Does anyone know about the Sundance 5th wheel by Heartland. I am looking at purchasing a 2007 and need some feedback. Any suggestions?

You may not get much feedback because Heartlands have only been out since the 2006MY.

Looked at one on the dealer lot and they certainly looked nice. Can't give you any feedback on how they hold up. Went with a Jayco unit instead.

You might try a PM or e-mail to iRV2 member JayC - he and his wife have been shopping rigs and have spent a lot of time looking at the Heartland models.

Hi we just bought a 2007 Sundance 2900MK and really enjoy it. We had a 2003 cougar before this one.
You get a lot of extras from Heartland that the other MFG's charge for. We have had no problems so far. We found a really good dealer and he was willing to really deal on these. He has a big line of Sundance,Bighorn and landmark. The only thing I have heard so far is Heartland needs to clean the units before sending them out and the wire holders for the slides are breaking. Thanks here is a link to the heartland forum.http://www.heartlandowners.org

Heartland has had some issues. Dealers out West who refused warranty work.
Floors made from OSB board not marine plywood.
Central air ducts that are smashed or bent or not connected.
Water tanks breaking loose and need reinforcement.
But if you can find a dealer to fix things up I guess they're okay.
Removing the underbelly material to work on electrical or plumbing is difficult.

We have a new 2007 Heartland Sundance 2900mk. Its very true about the mfg cleaning. We have had numerous troubles but the local dealer has cleared up most and we hope to go on vacation w/o any issues. Ours were mainly manufacturing problems like, the closet wall was not secured, we fixed it, toilet to close to back wall, had dealer reseat the toilet, microwave door fogged up, dealer replaced, underbelly not very secured, dealer fixed as well as the could, hot/cold water reversed, fixed before delivery. overall after all these issues, we are really enjoying ours, Happy Camping Steve and Donna.Tampa,fl.
