swivelwheel trailer 58DW

I have a new swivelwheel trailer on my fifth wheel. Do I need to license the trailer? Does anyone have an experience with one?

I bought one a few months ago but waiting til next year to install the hitches on the fiver. The guy I bought it from said he never registered it (never was questioned / stopped) as it was an extension of the fiver.

Not guaranteeing the accuracy of the info, but I don't intend to register it either.

I'm in NC.

I have an Idaho Tote. I tow through Texas, New Mexico & Colorado. With no issues. I simply move the tag off the 5th wheel to the tote as it is considered an extension of the rv.
