If it makes you feel any better, I had a Goodyear fail, stopped immediately - so it wasn't destroyed. Getting it warrantied when you didn't buy it through a specific local dealer (already on the Class-C) took quite a bit of work...

Michelin Ribs. Don't worry about the cost. Whatever it is it will be cheaper than the damage from a blow out.
