Red face Tire monitor advice

As new 5th wheel owners, we would like advice on the best tire monitoring system. Anyone have Doran 360RV or Advantage Pressure Pro? What about quality, reliability vs. price?? Were told that psi on our tires should be 75 cold, 80 warm - sound right as tires looked really low on first outing.

Lomita,

Here's a comparison chart:
http://www.tirepressuremonitor.com/Comparisons.htm

HawksHead seems to be the best in product and price.
They have a new model called the Talon that comes out just about now.
That's where my money is going.

Tire pressure:
What's max tire pressure on your tire sidewall?
What is the factory recommendation?
What does each wheel, axle, and total FW weigh?
What's the GVW of FW?
This is info you may need for a sound tire pressure decision.

tire monitors

We have the TST system. It reads tire pressure and temps. It is made by Truck System Technologies out of Georgia. Pricing was the best. They now have the monitors with changable batteries. We have had ours for 2 years and it has worked perfect. We don't have to use a extender with it as the signal is good enough to be picked up in the truck. We go by the tire manuf. recommendations as to pressure. Ours (Maxxis) are rated at 80 lbs. PSI cold. You can set the monitors to sound at any pressure you want to. I set ours at 110 PSI (high) and Temp at 105.

We too use the TST. We have the 510 model which has a non replaceable battery. Expected life if 5 to 7 years. It has saved us twice in just a year. Diana
