If you are not completely gone from the forum.......
After reading some of the posted questions from Paul, I tried to answer them as best I could based on my experience and what I though might help. However, I soon became exasperated at the frequency of postings/questions and I, too, wondered how someone could possibly come up with so many detailed questions. I found out most of the answers to the questions myself over the years, which made me think “Why did he not do the same?”
A lot of us who visit the forum frequently also try to help with our thoughts/solutions to what has been asked based on what we hope we know correctly. It is really amazing how many people buy first and then ask the forum to provide solutions to the problem they have caused themselves, and it requires patience to repeat answers over and over to new people who join the forum. Some of us apparently have a low threshold for some of the repetitive questions.
Had Paul ORIGINALLY posted WHY he was inundating the forum with all the postings, I will bet that every one of us would have bent over backwards to provide sensible answers. Not having the information of his personal situation, gave us (at least me) the impression that he was too impatient to look up some of the previous posting (search function) that would have provided a lot of answers and advice, and may have reduced some of the high number of postings.
Helping my disabled father and my care-giver sister in getting their fifth-wheels for a long-term, rural Texas site. I hope to do likewise within a year or two so...just trying to learn all that I can. Any & all advice is appreciated!
Had the above been the in one of the initial postings, it would have resulted in a flood of reasonable/sensible answers from any number of members who have years of experience.
[By the way, the unwelcome newcomers you so disdain, includes two Ph.D.'s and a MacArthur Fellow. So you were wise to get them and their "kind" out of here.]
And this pushback reveals a lot about yourselves…
I believe you have come up with one of the better units to try to fill your needs, but you have not yet experienced any of the problems that can arise with ANY brand of RV, either short-term or long-term, either mobile or stationary.
I wish you good luck in your quest for the perfect solution—I believe if you have any questions about the DRV units, you can ask either myself or RustyJC, as we both have owned the brand for many years. My own personal email is joejd at aol.com and I would be glad to help you through the inevitable newbie situations that are going to arise.
