We just purchased a 2019 3500 gm and are looking at the factory cameras but want to know how good it works before spending 1k on the system. we purchased a furion system and it does not work well at all always drops the signal from the monitor any help would be appreciated thanks

Before spending $$$$, look for an extension for the Furoin antenna. We don't have any issues dropping the picture, our RV is 45 foot toy hauler with a 2017 RAM with 8 foot bed.
Or make sure your antenna on the camera is above the top of the RV.

I have a 2018 but went with the factory setup. Cameras on mirrors and in bed as well as on the back of trailer. Works great.

I went with hard wired cameras from Rear View Safety. As you can see from my picture I have a lot of steel and stayed away from wireless.

Howdy!
Is the camera on the back of the trailer hardwired or wireless? I’m think of also adding the GM camera system to our 2018 Chevrolet LTZ 3500.

It is wireless. I have no issue with the connection.

Do you ha e the furrion back up or observation camera. The back up one will drop out. They also have a booster for the camera
I have the observation one on mine with the booster in the front battery compartment. It works great on my 42' fiver

My Chevy 2018 gets 12 mpg while my 2006 Chevy got 11.5 mpg, DEF gets about 2500 miles towing per 6 gallons on a 7 gallon tank. The exhaust brake and extra HP sure is nice. Rig wt is 25k.
I thought the 1k was pricey for the rear camera and therefor kept my $300 wired camera used on the previous truck. I ran the cable down the ladder then along the underside of the fifth wheel to the pin box. The truck cable is coiled under the rear seat and gets run back to the pin box connector on travel days.
