One thing on your f250 is that it's rated by the door placard....
if it says 10000 I very much doubt they put a greater than in front of it
Maybe someone was helping you out ?!?

Depending on your cab style (crew cab, super cab or regular cab) and engine (gas or deezle) then unhooked you are probably at about 5000 on front an 3500 on rear so say 8500 - if your placard says 10k you can only add 1500 lbs period for the TOTAL weight and yes, on the rear only maybe up to 6200 rawr, but then it puts you WEIGH over your gvwr - so it's a tough one....

and never count on the truck salesmen to tell you straight !
in fact, I'll go so far as to say they don't WANT to know so they don't have to tell you something that may stop you from buying that truck !

Well your figures are off. My super crew diesel weights unhooked, front 4370 and rear 3220, total is 7760. Axle ratings are 6000 frt, 6200 rear.
Looking at your signature what are your weights?

Johnboytoo,
Looking at your 5er specs,(model 355RE) at GVWR 15500, dry 11660, and hitch of 2590. How is your F250 not overloaded?

Not so it all depends on the load distribution. I have 11000 on the truck and 12000 on the trailer axles and my truck don't feel loaded with my 39ft unit.

Previous unit was GM2500 and was 8600 on the truck and 9000 on the trailer axles and drove like a caddy for 9 years. Unit was 34ft long. Though the load capacity was over 3200 I was at the limit with 12600 trailer.
