Welcome to iRV2.

I hook a hose to my black flush and let it run full blast while dumping the black water. When dumped I'll close the dump valve with the flush water still running and let it run for a few more minutes. Then I open the dump valve again and let it drain.

When finished draining the black water, I'll close the dump valve and let 2 or 3 gallons of flush water into the black tank so the waste doesn't stick to the inside bottom of the tank. Also, a few gallons in there while traveling will slosh round and break off any waste, paper, etc, that didn't get flushed when dumping.

I do the same as Richard on my MH, but one word of caution. DO NOT walk away and let that flush hose run with the dump valve closed. You won't like the results.

Been there, done that (luckily, it was after dumping & we were on the 3rd round of back flush for sloshing during the trip home)...won't do it again.
