trouble with atwood water heater

I just added a circuit board and a tstat. Gas heats but won't shut off any ideas why

If not and not the right answers here, try a little googling. Sometimes, google can be your best friend when you are otherwise stuck...

I'm hesitant to say this but I helped a friend put a new board in their furnace recently. Worked great at first and then stopped. Could not get it going for anything, then DW, being a woman and they way women can be, said "why don't you just try turning everything off and turning it back on?" Voila, that fixed it! Chock up another one for DW.

There are a large number of Atwood water heaters. What specific model do you have?
You could have a bad gas valve.
