First thing I would do is get your unit weighed. Not just trailer but truck and trailer. We just returned from our Heartland National Rally in Goshen, Ind. I had our unit weighed by RV Safety. These guys weigh your unit per wheel and you get axle weights as well. A CAT scales can tell you axle and total numbers not per wheel.

Until you do this, in IMHO, you are playing a guessing game.

Air bags are a simple fix. If you are a self motivated mechanic, it's a do-it-yourself, but I had them installed. Kits come as manual inflated or electrical automatic. I put the manual on to 65psi and get a level, comfortable ride. Makes driving all the difference in the world.

But a set of Timbrens is a two-bolt job (per side - but only one needs to come all the way out) and you don't have to fiddle with air, and no power is required. They cost a whole bunch less too.

Do you have a toy(s) in the garage of the toy hauler?

They can run pin-heavy when empty in the back. Like most of the replies, real weights will help you choose your solution.

Best regards,
Chris
