Only 3 items to heat it. lol. I hear you. I would do it too if I had to but I don't intend to be in those temps. I have too sometimes. I work for a living too. Try to avoid those areas.

I was not aware that heartland advertised and guaranteed to 0 degrees. Most I read online was 28. They must have changed something. Which I commend you for bringing it to the attention of the OP. Well there is one out there outside of customs that will handle frigid temps. Kudos to heartland.

We ran the fireplace in the morning, as we turned the thermostat down at night, and the radiator was used in the main living area as it is more area to heat...this allowed the furnace to cycle mainly just to keep the belly warm using much less propane.

Regardless of what some think our mass produced rig has very good insulation (as much as you can in most RV's). We have a heated belly, heated tanks and main water line, dual panes, etc. I would put it up against just about anything out there. Fact is our neighbors at that time had a Mobile Suite and their water manifold froze which was in their supposedly heated storage area...we spent several hours thawing it out for them.

We go where the work is, unfortunately this past year middle TN had it's coldest winter on record and we had to deal with it...turned out to be a piece of cake...there are units other then the "mighty few" that most people feel are the only 4 season units, that are up to the task and warranted as such...

We have a 2009 Heartland and dual pane windows as the only option. We have been comfortable with fireplace and furnace down to 0F deg many times.
It's rated to 0F in 2009 and even before. I do not believe in heated tanks but never leave then empty so the furnace keep them warm. The liquid in the tanks become a heat sink for cold night.
We also traveled in cold weather down to 10F with only furnace heat.
Left it in storage for a month in LA with only solar as battery charger and furnace set at 40. After many 17F nights and 2 tanks of propane everything was fine when we picked it up last Jan 23rd.
