True length of 5th wheel

When reserving a space for my 5th wheel, they ask the length. So, do I list the model size or the bumper to bumper size?

Welcome,

Well if you'd prefer not being stuck in too tight a spot I'd give the actual length. Model numbers can be deceptive. I think mfrs. measure from the king pin to the bumper.
CG managers tend to round up also knowing there are ladders and bulbous front caps.
Get your actual overall height too, might come in handy.

Happy motoring.

Model numbers mean nothing when describing the length of a 5'r. Get a tape measure out and use that measurement when reserving a space.

Ours is listed as 33 1/2 but is 35 ft from pin to rear cap that is what I always state as length.

Our 5vr is listed as 32.5 which is close to INSIDE measurement
Taped measured from King pin to rear cap is 33'10"

When asked for length I always tell them 35'

As others have stated give them the actual length of your wagon! In the brochure ours is listed as 39' 2" but it tapes out at exactly 40'. When calling for reservations we say 40', and they (should) place you accordingly. When starting out fulltime 3.5 years ago I was wondering if we should give them the total combination length...not necessary! Enjoy your journeys!

We always give the kingpin to rear bumper length. Ours is 31.5 interior living space but 34' exterior length. We also mention that we have 3 slides...
