Under cabinet coffee makers
Hi, I recently purchased a 2009 Dutchman Colorado 5ver that I wil be using to fulltime within the next few months. My question is about what anybody thinks about under cabinet coffee makers. I think that would save counter space but I wonder about the moisture. Any comments would be appreciated

We bought a house where the previous owner had a cabinet mounted coffee maker. The door of that cabinet was affected by the moisture and steam from making coffee. The wood was rough and noticeably discolored. I don't know if all makers are the same or some do a better job of dissipating the moisture, but that is something to consider. We would not consider one ourselves.

Barb, We had an under the cabinet coffee maker and it literally ruined one of our kitchen cabinets. We recentely changed to a on the counter unit, much better. The moisture (steam) really played havack on the wood finish. Just our 2 cents worth.

Our coach came with one as standard equipment, so far in 10 years no problem with any moisture damage.

LVJ58, what brand or model maker is in your coach, and do you know if it is still on the market?

We have been using one for 12 years now with no problem, wood cabonets rather than the paper wrapped other stuff. We also had one in the house for a number of years with no problem.

We went through three of them on the last fiver. I used a piece of plexiglass on top of the maker to keep the steam off the cabinets. The fiver we now have cannot use one as there are lights under the cabinet.
