WackO A/C silencer

Anyone with real life experience using a "new" product by WackO called A/C Silencer. It replaces the air intake filter for ducted A/C units and claims to quite down the noise level.

Works great. I measured 5 db reduction over stock unit. But not cheap for a piece of plastic.

I put one on my rig and it works great. I can actually here the tv and carry on a conversation with A/C going. It seams to cool the MH better. I highly recommend it. Worth every penny.

Waaay overpriced, but it really works. My decibels went down 3-5, depending on the fan speed selected. The filter seems a little better than stock, but not much. They make it hard to get at.

The cooling is improved, but I'm not sure why. Maybe because of the direction to smooth out the ducts imperfections with the provided tape, and also isolate the in and out ducts with the same silver tape...

Overall, I will suck it up and buy it again for the next rig.

Read this and the one in the link, and it looks like everyone is in motor homes. Anyone tried these in a 5W?

Not sure it would be any different. If you have a rooftop ac with ducted air, same thing.
