Well Tom , I think the preference would have to be determined on the Use. If this unit were to be lived in on an extended basis I would personally prefer a Stackable for Load capacity and accelerated Dry times. If this was for that occasional camp out, or road trip the all in one types would be preferred for the weight reduction, and compactness of the units.

Thanks for the replay.
I caddy on the LPGA Golf tour and I will be in the unit at least 7months a year.
From what you said I believe the stackable might my best bet

Thanks

We have the Splendide Combo-Matic 6200 in the rig. This one does not need an external vent for the dryer portion of the cycle.

Like mentioned above, the stackables are faster. If you do one load a day, you'll be fine on the road.

The Splendide that uses the external vent
appear to dry a little faster but you end up with wringled cloths. The Combo Matic uses water around the inner drum to maintain the temp
inside the dryer drum. The cloths come out much better in my opinion with this type of Splendide.

We had the other type as it was installed first by mistake or someone thought they knew more than I did when I ordered it. We now have the external vent on the rig.

We had the non-vented (condensing) Splendide in our previous 5th wheel. We did not even bother moving it into our current 5th wheel. There's a message there......

I hear you Rusty, we might do the same thing after using it for some time. There was no room for the stackables in here.

Its better than going to the wash house unless you've really got a bunch to do.

I talked to Mr Barber at RV land and he said that the stacked would be better.

I agree the stackable units are better. We have the Splendide 2100(vented), and the load capacity is misleading. The washer will wash a larger load than it's realistic to attempt to dry. The seperate units are matched so the dryer will satisfactorily dry a full washer load. Our 5er will only accept the all-in-one W/D unit or we would have stackables.
