Washer dryer in Reflection closet.

We are close to purchasing another rig, 2018 Grand Design Reflection 337 RLS is our front runner. It has the connections in the closet for a washer and dryer or washer dryer combo. Dealers do not have any, at least in our area, with these already installed.

Anyone out there have this or a similar closet (no side door) washer dryer set up? Would love some input... but even better, if you don’t mind, pictures of what this looks like while “occupied” with clothes hanging and such? Because of the way the washer/dryer sits, we have to be in the closet to do the laundry, so a visual on what that looks like would be great.

Thanks!

Sorry, I don't have any pictures, but I think we have a similar set up in our 2016 Montana 3160RL. WE have a combo washer/dryer unit in our closet that actually faces sideways and opens in to the closet, right under the hanging bar. It really isn't a big deal. Our closet rod is usually only about 3/4 full so I just push the clothes to the opposite side and do the laundry. I have storage on top of the unit and I bought a plastic container to keep my laundry soap, etc.

I would honestly prefer a unit with the washer in a separate closet, but it's location is not something that would keep me from purchasing a unit.

You will probably have to rush retail order a trailer with the hookups. The Reflections are mid size units, and most part time travelers don't require washers/dryers.

That’s actually not correct. Quite a few come with hook ups and most of the Reflections are now built for more full time uses.

I had a GD and my problem with installing a washer and dryer was the weight in the nose of the 5er would put me over my axle weights of my 2017 GMC 1 ton truck. The 337 pin runs between about 2800 and 3300 and the washer dryer will add most of the weight to the pin. I ended up trading for motorhome.....

When we had our Sierra we purchased a Whirlpool Dryer LDR3822PQ1 and a Whirlpool Washing Machine WFC7500VW1. We stacked the units but they were made to stand alone. They both worked great.

Thanks for this information. We will be purchasing a truck that will more than handle the weight of the truck and now thanks to you be mindful of that axle weight. Thank you!

We have a splendide washer and dryer in our 2018 Montana Legacy. They stackables but have them side by side. We lost one closet but it was worth it. I use a 2012 ram 3500 DRW 6.7 and I towed really good even with the extra weight. Not the best pic but you can our the dryer next to the washer. They are well worth the investment. Thanks! The GD Reflection 320MKS appears to have a good layout for the washer dryer in closet without losing too much closet space, which when we go full time on the road, will be important as well.

Thanks for the pic!
