OK you savvy RV vets, I need some help on this one. While dumping I noticed a small leak on my blackwater tank right at the outfall where the ABS plumbs in. It's right where it looks like a plastic weld. If I wiggle it I can make it worse. Is there some reliable sealant or caulk? I wanna fix it right and if I have to pull it, it looks pretty accessible. Thanks, Kel.

Not sure about realiability, but JB weld makes a variety of products for sealing plastics. Might also look into earthabond tape.

There is a "Kit" for making black tank repairs. It is has a two part epoxy and some matt or cloth like used for fiberglass in the kit. I have used it before with good results.

I can't remember the company that makes it off the top of my head. But when I get a chance I will look it up in my "Big Goodie book" and post you a link to it.

Have you tried Billy Mayes' Miracle Putty? He says on TV that it even sticks over running water.

The miracle putty got de-bunked on our local TV station about 3 weeks ago; It does not do what they say it does.

Here is a link to the tank repair kit.

"Link to kit"

I am sure RV Upgrades or several other RV supply places have them as well.
