LOL ...I hadn't thought to read it that way! I'll have to make up a story like that to explain why My 98 has those fantastic Projector Beam Headlights!

I've had the person at the registration desk "look out the side window" at my '97 28 RK with two slides 5th wheel trailer. Then usually make a "it looks new " comment.

I've been in several RV parks with the 10 year rule and never been turned away.

Every year my coach is 10. This year it's a 2005, next year is a 2006, and so on . I keep it clean and shiny, no one notices. I know I can look at a coach and tell give or take 2 years what the year is, but I haven't ever had the person behind the desk take a look.

We've been on the road full-time for just over a year now in our 1993 Foretravel. We spent about two weeks at a commercial campground this summer because that was the most convenient for us to take care of our daughter's wedding stuff. Otherwise we prefer State and Federal campgrounds, especially Corps of Engineers ones (half price).

If we had to go to a commercial campground, and they didn't post a 10-year-old rule on their website I'd have quite a discussion with the owner if they tried to turn us away. It would only be for one night anyway. The owner would be assured that his park would be "advertised" on every forum I'm on.

Well, that would be a real burden. I think 8 out of the last 10 sites I've been in have had that rule but like mentioned above, I've never been asked to see a title. I guess if I keep my front dome polished it'll stay fairly new looking. I may have to remove or replace the front decal. It's starting to fade its glittery gold color.

Heck, even the place I'm in now asked the year of my truck. So I've lied already. It only has 80K on it.

8 out of 10 sites? Wow!
By any chance have you asked any of these ritzy places why they have such a rule? Just Wondering.

Seems to me that as long as it doesn't look like a POS they shouldn't refuse you.

delmarrey,
I have an '05 Suites--have stayed in several that have that rule, and only did because of the location that I needed. But, I have never been asked what year I have--perhaps that time is coming, and if they ask, then I either lie or don't stay there.
8 out of 10? I also would like to know what areas you are frequenting...
Joe
