Dealer called this morning and I got the new F-350 dually home this afternoon. BD3 is to arrive Wednesday.

C130 you say your adapter plate was 500? I am pretty sure he told me like 350 or 395. The whole thing complete is to be 2695 delivered. That he quoted was on sale 300 dollars off and free shipping. He said shipping for me should have been 110 so looks like I got 410 off list price. Sounds good to me!

I purchased the Reese picture frame adapter was a couple of $100.00 cheaper.
Works just fine.

You are probably going to have to lower the head one or two bolt holes to level out the 5er.

If I don't like it then I will get the B&W Companion. I want this new truck, new 5th wheel trailer and my almost new wife to be happy and have a long and lasting life. So we need as soft a ride as we can get! Also it is U.S.A. made too!
You won't regret it. We started with B W Patriot, used it 3 times and didn't think we could deal with the ride. Much better with the BD3. There is one wicked railroad crossing near Shelton Wash which I had to slow down to about 20 mph with our old travel trailer. The 5th we hit it at the speed limit and couldn't even feel the trailer. Not to mention the I-5 in spots.

Get yourself a good air compressor. It took a few pulls to get the right amount of air in the bags for that "perfect" ride.

I'd have to check but thought it was $500, not sure if there's any difference between the BD3 and the TS3 adapter. I like how the BD3's head can be adjusted more than the TS3. The rear part of the TS3 that pivots is above the hitch head and hits my bed cover if I move the hitch up with spacers.

They appear to be the same and it's listed as $595 on their web site. Looks like you got a good price! The adapter plate is like their hitches, built like a tank.

C130 you are correct. Built like a tank! He told me the adapter plate weighs about 80 lbs same as each of the other two break down units weigh.

The truck had been prepped by the previous owner for installation of a fifth wheel hitch. We have been doing lots of research on which is the best hitch to get and was hoping to get a few opinions from you all.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I have a trailer saver TS3 air ride 5th wheel hitch I will sell cheap. It came with a truck I bought and I already have one. In excellent shape. They tow very nice.
