We are looking at the 32-36 foot length of the "box" so that would be a total length (including the part in the truck bed) of 40 feet. What brand would you recommend I look at and/or which model? Thanks!

p.s. this weekend I plan to look at a Jayco, an Elkridge, a Prime Time, and a Cougar- so any pointers in what to look for in terms of comparison would be great!
i agree. with most on here, what will you pull with is the frist question, then you can go from there the wife and i looked at TT and 5ers we were sold on the 5ers so then we Decided to go used first,so we would not be out lots of money if we did not like it, and now 3 years later we are looking at new ones . love my fifth wheel, but we like some of the newer ones to . so this my not help you, but start at what your pulling with first .

Do LOTS of research. I joined or lurked on several owner forums of specific brands I was thinking about and searched for reviews & problems on brands I didn't know. I talked to owners at RV parks and finally decided on what we wanted. We bought a used 5th wheel and had no problems with it. We "upsized" to the same brand last year and have been happy. Like I said, here's a TON of information on the web, make good use of it.
