Which caulking to use ........

Hello!
Which caulking to use to seal the outside doors in my 5th W(door
compartments)I have read silicon is not the proper one.Is there anything I
will find in WM or Lowes?Thanks for your advice......araucano.

FYI, the problem with silicone sealants is the adhesiveness. They're cohesive, but not all that great at sticking to stuff. It won't even stick to itself once it's set. Also if you use silicone, it's really a bugger to get it completely off for a redo.

ProFlexRV by Geocel is a product I use. This product is available at Camping World.

You mentioned Lowes or WM availability. Your best bet there would be a polyurethane caulk.

Any of the 100% butyl caulks will be more than acceptable. Except of course on the roof where Dicor Lap seal is the best choice.

I use polyurethane caulk. I buy it from McMaster-Carr on-line here:

I don't know if it matters with polyurethane caulk, but I know that silicone sealant has a shelf life. For something like my RV, I would be sure that whatever I used was fresh.

Proflex all the way I Always use proflex for this and it gives me great results..
