Question which one is best

I am looking at 2 5th wheels, one is a 1997 Holiday Rambler 32 foot the other is a 1996 Carri-lite 630 RKS Emerald Series by Carriage. Give me some Pros and Cons about each. Are they both good Quality? one better then the other. How about there superstructure?

Thanks for your help I never owned a 5th wheel before and appreciate your Thoughts

Carriage is considered by most to be a superior make, but HR is no slouch either. The Carriage is probably a little heavier - if that's a concern. I think your decision will have more to do with floorplan and colors. Good luck.

At that age, the best one will be the one which has been maintained. I'd be looking for signs of water leaks. I'd also add to the plus column for any appliances, furnace, water heater, or other major system that has been replaced. I'd also look carefully at the roof, since roof life tends to be suspect after 10 years. You might also consider hiring a professional to inspect both trailers, that might be one of the best decisions you make.

Both have a good reputation from that era. Check them over and make sure there are no water leaks and pick the one in the best shape.

It would be nice if you could test camp the units. The first night will show most pro and cons.
