Orange is For safety so you don't trip and stumble over it when walking around the bed of your truck.

I would complain loudly and paint it black. But you will love that Brinkley head. Best in industry.

Why complain loudly? Hensley Arrow hitches have been Chalmer orange for 20 years. It's their tradition.

They can paint their product whatever color they want. You can choose to buy it or not. If it bothers you repaint it. Some Hensley Arrow owners chose to paint theirs black.

I had a orange Hensley Arrow for 10 years. The bright color attracted attention and conversation. Great marketing ploy in my opinion.

Orange is just plain ugly. But that's my personal opinion.

When I first read the title of the thread I thought about "Why do they paint the black box orange?".
