Can you raise the floor under the pedal? Seems to me that would be the simplest way to resolve the problem.

Or, take a seat, relax and use your hand to flush and fill. I was in bad shape for awhile last year and found this worked well. Actually, I haven't entirely given up the practice

I hear that!

Appreciate that...
but my 'plumbing' must be under the flat floor and this model is a 20" tall model,
so my less than gorilla length arms won't get there

again, it's not the flushing causing an issue...
it's the really sensitive (short) filling arc (from fill to flush) that is the issue...

There's a ruling from on high about leaving a bit of water in the bowl....
I will look at it closer as time permits...

Ok, called Dometic... and apparently this is a known issue...
since there are no adjustments for this... they are sending me a new toilet once I send them my rv's build date and serial number on toilet !!!

Atta Boy Dometic... THAT'S customer service !

Get rid of those plastic toilets with foot pedals and install a REAL toilet. Either the Sealand Magnum Opus or the Sealand Concerto are the best. Both are made by Dometic. The toilet I had previously in the coach was a Thetford Aira II which was the biggest POS ever and the only thing that toilet was good for was a boat anchor.

I now have the Magnum Opus and will not have anything else in my RV EVER!

A less expensive and safer environmental alternative to septic systems | Water consumption reduction | MN water recycling | Equaris Corporation

SeaLand Concerto All-China Toilet - Bone - Dometic 302132063 - RV Toilets - Camping World

Using either the Magnum Opus or the Concerto is like using any residential except for the dual action handle, up to add more water, down to flush.

Wow - 72 lbs ?!?
5er is too heavy now
will stick with the 310 (or 320 whatever it is!)
it's not plastic - it's vitreous china and only 26 lbs....

but thanks for the suggestions...

Had to chuckle when I realized that never in my wildest dreams before becoming an RVer would I have thought this much conversation would be dedicated to toilets and toilet etiquette. Lovin' it!
