Your thoughts Jayco Eagle v. Prime Time Crusader

Hello, I have been surfing this site for awhile and finally joined. I'm almost ready to purchase a 5th wheel...want some of your thoughts.

2016 Jayco Eagle 345 BHTS or 2016 Prime Time Crusader 360BHS

I like the Jayco, but my wife likes the Crusader. After looking at each trailer I have a feeling that the jayco is made better. Anyone have one of these units. I need some fresh thoughts from my peers rather than what the dealership has told me. Any intel would be great.

Have a safe camping season, Thank you.

We looked at a PT Crusader - actually several of them including putting a deposit on one. They are a very nice looking 5er with lots of amenities. After we had a dealer problem and pulled our deposit, we looked elsewhere at other brands as well as more Crusaders. It took a coin flip, but the better workmanship in the Montana High Country for not many more dollars for fourth slide and 3-4 more feet in length finally made our mind up. One of the pluses on the Crusader was the self leveling which we didn't get with the Montana. A few Crusader negatives - smaller 2 door reefer instead of the 4, 13K a/c instead of the 15K, 6 gallon hot water heater instead of the 10 gallon, standard lights instead of all LEDs and a gaudy ceiling garnish over the sink that served no purpose. As far as Jayco's - mostly have heard good reports but none of the dealers we visited sold that line but a positive is that they have been around a very long time where the PT brand, a Warren Buffet - Berkshire Hathaway owned company has only been building 5ers 3 or so years. Take a look at the Forest River forum site as they carry the Crusader line under their umbrella. They will give you some good info: Forest River Forums - Forest River Owners Community

Thanks IC2!!! Im going back and comparing both unit again. Might consider the coin toss too. Im leaning towards the Jayco but could be persuaded the opposite way. Thanks for your time and Knowledge.
