Thanks TXiceman,

I have sent an email to the dealer first to see what they will do.

I read the material prior to purchase. That's why I had asked the salesman to show me in writing that the truck was rated at what they verbally stated it was. That is when they pulled out this huge book and opened it to a page that said 2005 F250/F350 Super Duty Pickups Capability.

They showed me in writing that the numbers confirmed their representation Max Towing 4x4 16,500 Max payload/Max GCVR 5600lbs/23,500.

Now that to me goes beyond being anything I have ever experienced before and is out and out fraud.

Like I said if not for this board I would not have known any different.

I know that Rusty, Tom, me and others have all learned from experience. I wish when we started RVing that the internet and data was as readily available back then as it is now.

Best of luck and let us know what happens.

Ken

You know, if you can get Ford to exchange the truck for a tow boss 350, that truck will do the job. Next, put the 16" tires on the trailer, don't fill up the water tanks until you are almost there, and go with it. The pin weight is going to be a bunch more than the 1650 and your real axle weight will be a lot less than you are looking at due to a lot of the weight being on the truck. 30 some hundred lbs of weight is going to be sitting on your hitch/truck. All of your Jeep weight won't go on your trailer axles, a lot of it will go to the pin weight if you load forward on the axles as you are supposed to. I think its doable if you have the right truck and 16" tires and axles under the trailer that will carry the weight. IMHO

On edit, I really think you'll have around 14 and change on your trailer axles with gear loaded and the rest will be on the truck if you keep the water down. My 3700lb Jeep only puts 2500lbs on the trailer axles.

Thank you for the input.

I am still waiting for the dealer to tell me what they are willing to do. They said they would have an answer by this afternoon.

Thanks again

Well after all the running around and trying to get things to work out we canceled our le3505 order.

We are just not comfortable with the real numbers out of WW.

Thank you all for the help. We will still be at Pismo with truck and Jeep and either tent it or rent an RV and have it set on the sand.

cboh1,

It's a bummer that you had to cancel your order. But I do commend you for thinking it out before you bought to much trailer for your truck. So often I see rigs either in a campground or on the road that are so mismatched that's it's scary. Way to many people just want this and that and never think about how the big toybox with all the heavy toys is way to big for the 3/4 ton and even many 1 ton trucks and don't think about the safety of their family first.

You thought about your families safety and that says alot about you.

There are other TH'ers out there that you can pull safely, you just might need to rethink what toys you want to carry along.

Don't give up, you'll find something.

Clark

WW told me my weight with the options I've ordered is 11,040 lbs.
4 quads=1500
family =800
bike fuel=400
truck (I think)=8300
diesel=320
c12 fuel=80
total without gear and water/food is 22,440lbs.

What do you think?

If you have a F550 you be able to tow it but WW is rated at 15,000 lbs max and the King Pin is rated @ 17,000 lbs. max

What truck are you towing with?

Water is 1225 lbs.

I was the original poster of this thread. I have an 2005 F350 4X4 CC,LB, 6.0.

My quads weigh 1400lbs, I added 100lbs. I could change the siding but, I would hate to do that.

BTW: Happy 4TH!

Your truck is rated at 15,400 lbs max towing cap via 5th wheel.

Your trailer sounds like it may be well over this amount. Ford informed me that the only truck that would be close is a 2x6 sigle cab dually 1 ton

What I am saying the WW trailer is rated at 15,000 lbs.

And yes your truck is rated at 15,400. Your pin weight will be 22% of the trailer which will be more than a SRW is rated at.

cboh1, looks like "jcd" is going through the same problems you went through.

It sounds like you guys need to go find an older WW so the weights will be more in line, back before they made them so heavy. Course you still need a one ton dually to handle it but you'll be within all your numbers except the Gross combined and with the tow boss option it'll be within that too. It's a shame they've changed everything except whats needed to handle the CCC.
