1 Ton Dually Tire Rotation
Do you rotate all 6 or just the front 2? It recently cost me $75 to rotate all 6. I'm unable to do this myself. If I rotate every 8k and the tires last 60K, then this will add almost $575 to the cost of a set of tires! Seems excessive, what do you think or do?

I rotate every 15k ish. I do it my self. Rotating front from side to side is useless...gotta mix rear and front up. If I had to pay someone I would just replace them as the wore out.

Next time pick a reputable tire dealer. Discount tires does it for free if you bought tires from them. Les Schwab I believe will do it for free evenmif you did not.

The inside duels are usually either steel, or unpolished aluminum and the inside of all the wheels are usually unpolished. You have the choice of swapping tires on wheels or running the unfinished surface on the outside.

I just put new tires on our DRW at Sams club. You pay a one time fee of $25.00 per wheel ( yes a tad Spendy), but it's lifetime rotation after that. I got 47 K out of the original rear tires, and I never rotated them. The fronts only lasted 27K.

I have not yet figured this out myself... on my Ram the TPM sensors in the inner duals are unique so they can't move without dismounting... I may just swap fronts and outter duals

Ford is basically recommending side to side rotation, not front/rear. I think all the duallys with aluminum alloy wheels have a polish on one side only, and the inner rears are steel--
so a complete rotation will mean dismount/remount all six tires. This usually costs more in rotation than what you may save in tire wear over several years.
I only move my 450 tires side/side, but they are the 19.5s and they wear/ride like iron...

I always just swap front to outside rear, tires have to be dismounted so I pay. Works just fine.

Complete waste of time and MONEY. I run my rears at 65 towing and 30-35 solo. Front tires I run at 80psi ALL the time. I do swap the front tires side to side keeping the SAME rotation. The wheels stay at the same location for sensor purposes. This way the inside edges are on the outside edges. They balance them at that time. Never have re balanced the rears.
40K on these Michelin MS2's.

I'm running steel wheels with stainless wheel liners so no dismounts. I rotate @ 15K and move the outer duals to opposite side front and next time do inner dual swap front and back. Discount has done them for free as they want my business when I buy the next set. They have also repaired a leaking front for free. Not sure if you have a Discount store near you. I know several people who have bought at WalMart and get free rotations but may have paid $10 per tire up front for that. Good luck.

Apologize for highjacking this thread, but I have been looking at SS liners on Ebay for my 3500 DRW. Can I ask what brand you have, and how do you like them? How well do they cover the steel rims? Thx.
