10 Worst Cars List Includes RAM and CHEVY HD Trucks
For 2018 models, Consumer Reports put the Silverado 2500 HD at 7th worst and the Ram 3500 at the top of the 10 worst car's list.
https://www.consumerreports.org/car-...reliable-cars/
And the issues are serious (engine, electrical, steering, suspension, fuel and emissions systems, cooling, noise, and leaks)
Wow have things changed since we were buyers.
Guess this is another reason to keep our good ol' 5.9L Dodge 3500 from the Daimler years roadworthy.
Anyone experience this?

CR always had a bias against USA cars/trucks.

I bought a brand new 2012 Ford SD diesel because consumer reports had the 2011 SD as having the least issues of Ram and Chevy 7 years ago.
I had zero issues with the 2012 Ford SD duty diesel. I just traded it for a smaller truck since I sold the 5th wheel.

Wait...WHAT?!
The list includes Honda x2, Kia, and VW.
The list DOES NOT include any Ford.
I submit that any bias is not appearant.
Please help me understand

I'm not scared! Chevy 2500HD just turned 250,200+ miles. I cannot think of anything I have ever purchased that was recommended by them as best buy. I got a 2009 Audi A4 Quarto that CC gave terrible reviews because of high oil consumption but I liked the car and the price was right. At 87,000 miles, Audi rebuilt the top and bottom end of the engine under recall at no cost. Jim E. OKC
Just read the article on the Silverado, did I miss what the problems were with the engine other than the diesel works well?

Remember, the worse vehicle in 2018 is better than the best 1990 vehicle.

I really don’t understand how they come up with that stuff, ever car, truck or mini van I’ve owned have been in the top 10 worst buys, but yet I’ve never really had many issues

They survey members so the results are fairly accurate. I know when I was a member and got the survey I answered honestly.
I know the vehicles I have owned matched with their results fairly close. Honda had black mark for brakes. I had issues with the brakes. Half black for electronics, I had a short in the radio.

Being an election year we all know about surveys and polls and their reliability. That is how CU comes up with its statistics. First you must be a subscriber to CU magazine and second you must send in the survey. There is nothing scientific about how their data is obtained. I quit CU decades ago as they also appeared biased favoring European cars.
