How do the air bags affect the ride of your truck. I had a friend who put some air bags on his tundra. Not sure what brand they were. But his truck rode terrible he kept about 5psi in them when not towing. Do these have the same effect on your truck? I bought the ram. Pulls the camper fine. Haven't went far enough to really judge mpg. But the trailer does sag the back a bit.

I put the Air Lift 1000 on my 2013 Ram 1500 Quad Cab 5.7. They are as simple as you can get with air bags, I had no problems installing them per instructions. The ride while not towing ( i keep about 5-8 psi in them ) and about 20 psi towing, the non-towing ride is a little firmer, but no problem for me. The added results while towing is well worth it ! I got mine from Amazon, and as said, the best $80 bucks i have spent as far as towing my TT goes,
i say definitly install them, or a more sophisticated version if you have the Jingle !!!

Let us know !!!!

Do you use a equalizer hitch with the air bags as well?

The quick answer is no ! The long story is that we started this RV thing on the cheap ( and still do in many respects, being retired now ) our first WDH was a Harbor Freight cheapo, can't beat it for the money . But when we bought our new Grey Wolf Limited 26RL (another story ) was not happy with the sway, even with add on friction sway control devises. So i started researching a new WDH.

Sway Pro Great $$$$$$
Equalizer Great $$$$$$

At the time we purchased , new to the market,( imho), a copy of the Equalizer. Husky Centerline TS . A little under $400 from Amazon, A great hitch, great sway control, and so easy to hook up !

Guess you can see, i'm a great fan of the TS, maybe not a Sway Pro, but we love it !

Consider it, if i had the jingle i would go Sway Pro, but i do not like chains !!!

I do have a WDH. It came with the camper we had before. A chain model with an add on sway control bar. Don't think the sway control works that well. Even when you crank it tight. We towed it this weekend. The power of the hemi made the 6.0 liter in my Chevy seem like a 6 cylinder. Lol. When we got home I adjusted the WDH. Now the back only sags about a 1 1/2 to 2 inches. And I set it all up with the back of the truck loaded with all the goods for camping. I don't want to spend the money but have wondered about your WDH set up. I work for a car and camper dealer and they don't even sell the chain style anymore.
