Hi,

This thread to specific to using the Invisibrake on the 2000 Wrangler Sport. Invisibrake website does not include the 2000 Wrangler in the compatibility sheet.

Any concerns out there regarding the installation process? My concern is hooking up to the brake vacuum line.

Did you get an answer to this question? Did you install it? Fixin' to purchase and install one on a 2005 Wrangler X. From what I have read, there should be no problems. Not many differences between a 2000 Wrangler and a 2005 Wrangler.

Hi Michael,

Yes, I have completed the Roadmaster Invisibrake in my 2000 Wrangler Sport. You are correct, the installation is pretty straight forward. The biggest challenge was locating / mounting the cable pulley to the firewall. It all worked out, but added a couple extra holes in the firewall that I sealed with silicone.

There was not enough room to put the control box under the driver-side seat. I put it on the floor, just behind the driver-side seat.

As you most likely know, the Invisibrake is a "Progressive" supplemental braking system. I am installing the Roadmaster Combo Kit 9243-1 and the Roadmaster Falcon 2 All Terrain Tow Bar.

Thanks Ron, Did the air cylinder fit under the driver's seat, and was the cable long enough?

Hi Mickey,

I routed the cable along the driver side. Once the cable was routed without securing it, l the. Started at the peddle.

Check out the link below. It is on a 2013 Wrangler, but give you a good idea how to install the unit.

Hi Mickey,

Just a heads up. With the ignition key off (take key out of the ignition to be sure) press on the brake peddle. If the brake lights light up, you will need Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay P/N 84000 from Roadmaster.

The other part of the installation to remember is that all of the power for the tow lighting (Brake, Turn and Running) come from the RV, NOT the Jeep.
