2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee

My folks have purchased a 2007 Jeep GC with auto trans and fulltime 4wd. They did this without any research.

Dealer said it could be towed 4-down. I am thinking no way. Maybe with a pump, but even then not to sure.

Any input would be appreciated.

Yes it is towable. I have same year, same auto trans and full time 4x4 with hemi motor. I have towed mine approx. 20,000 miles. Owners manual explains how to put in neutral. It is a very simple procedure. Only issue I have had (knock on wood)with it was after a recall for a reflash of the computer. About 3 times after the flash it would not go into neutral. A quick trip back to dealer and problem solved. They call chrysler and was something about clearing computer before installing new data. I think jeeps are the easiest to get ready to tow and work great. As evident by motorhome magazine latest reader picks having 2 jeeps in top 3. Good luck and safe travels. If I can be of assistance feel free to ask.
