Either is Mercedes and every Tundra , Nissan and the list goes on. So what ? My point was that some of these Blue Ovel people think that thier. Trucks are Manna from heaven you can have a crappy experience with any truck. Remember all the 6.0 problems just to cite one example.

Ford death wobble

https://youtu.be/PSDBCV-gcs8

Anybody have the pleasure of changing the spark plugs on a mod motor? Washed truck or ran in rain and enjoyed water in the coil pack(s)? 6.0, 'nuff said. 6.4 breaks valve springs and throw motor away.

Ford found it was just easier to lift the cab when dealing with the 6.0.

I'd like to add that I'm not a ford basher. I've had 8. I had some issues with my 7.3 powerstroke, but didn't keep me from replacing it with a Ford. Still have a lincoln.

They all have "quirks"

I had a 96 explorer that I put 250k miles on, and the current owner is working on more. I love that thing. Not a basher, unless you call equal opportunity bashing bashing.

So why are you in this thread fanboy ? If your happy with your choices , why bother ?

Because the world doesn't revolve around ford, the other big two, or you. To make a decision, ALL the information is important, IMO. On the Internet, we give, at least, our opinions. I haven't bashed any particular brand, and if anything is more true, they all suck at one point or another. Bash that.

If anyone believes I have violated the rules of the forum, I invite them to report me, just as I did earlier in this thread. Either no one has, or I'm not in violation.

Good day.

Looking at the 2017 SD in DIESELPOWER magazine. I really like what those boys have done with it.

They're all getting up there. Heck my truck had a sticker price of $72K. I am a bit surprised supplemental air won't be an option. But a lot can change in a year.

Trucks are just way too expensive these days. My DW likes a 5er but I keep telling her that the cost of a truck to tow them is just way too expensive. Basically any 5er with a 10K GVWR or over needs to be pulled by a 1 ton truck. The cost isn't that much different that a 3/4 or half with the same engine. I think she's starting to coming around to just getting a MH and tow a toad.
