Good looking truck. I wouldnt touch a shorty with a 10ft pole though if i were specifically buying as a tow vehicle.

Think a long-bed is gonna fit in that driveway? I don't. Some of us have practical considerations....

@Utah Engineer - Congrats! Enjoy it!.

Thank you for the kind comments on the new truck. Luckily my garage, where the truck is actually parked, is deeper than my driveway. But a long box would leave me little room to walk around the truck to use our garage man-door exit ... so you are right, short box was the practical choice. Our travel trailer only weighs 8,000 lbs loaded down, is not a 5vr, so this truck far surpasses our towing requirements. I previously towed our travel trailer with an F150 ... it would do it ... but nothing worse than sometimes feeling like the trailer is controlling you ... not the other way around as it should be.

A short box is good for towing a TT. Going from a 1/2 ton towing 8,000lbs (kinda too much) to a 1 ton. You will really enjoy towing now. It will become a non-event.

I maxed out one of my trucks and towing was a chore. It affected the travel as I never really wanted to travel too far. Then I started to buy bigger trucks than some said I needed. All of a sudden towing 700 - 1,200 miles was easy.

Again, a white truck is my favorite color to reflect a lot of heat from the sun.[emoji106]

Nice truck! Speaking from experience, you’ll enjoy the short box. The turning radius is sweet.

Very nice truck, if by chance you get tired of it let me know I'll gladly take it off your hands. Good luck and many happy miles

Replaced the lower quality factory Goodyear Wrangler SR-A tires with Michelin Defender LTX M/S tires. It will be interesting to see if these new tires live up to the high rating they have for traction and higher miles before replacement.

The L5P has been a good upgrade so far over the LMM. You should enjoy towing with all that newfound power.

Using the PullRite slider with my shortbed to pull my 5'er. It's never been a problem, and the truck fits in my garage.
