Just try to ignore the negative comments, as soon as the word "airbags" hits this site or "3/4 ton" the wolves come out. If your not towing anything under a 6k lb tt or lighter you will be slammed by numerous people. Airbags DO help numerous people from 1/2 tons to 1 ton dullies and if you disagree then my opinion is you have never had them. I personally have them and I have travelled with a coworker before and after he had them installed on his 1 ton dully and it was an amazing difference.
If you haven't already figured it out, my vote is, go for the airbags.

Add me to the column of people who like them too. Installed mine this weekend and other than running my head into the differential, all went smoothly.

I put airbags on my 2008 F150. I was only towing a 22' TT weighing 4050lbs loaded. TW was around 450-500lbs. I had 1757lbs of payload. So why would I need air bags?
Well the reason was that I put a shell on, had a bed slider in it along two mtn bikes and almost everything I needed for camping including firewood. No I wasn't over any rating. I put air bags on because in order to get the WDH setup right and get enough front weight transfer on the truck I had to use 1000lb bars. The ride in the truck was terrible. Jerky and stiff. So I added airbags and used spring bars with a rating of 400-600lbs. It worked perfect. Ride was nice and smooth.
Also gained some better cornering stability too.
Just saying that not everyone that puts bags on puts them on because they're over weight.

Even our 50,000# MH (69,000 GVWR) gets bounced around on the CA roads!

I've used air sleeves or bags in all my trucks for 30 years. I had a 2009 1500 similar to what you have with the airbags. Wonderful things. I suggest you get the on board compressor kit.

If you need bags, then you don't have PU.

I don't "need" bags. Just adding them . I have found this forum brutal. God forbid someone with a halfton would ask a question.

That's rich if you need air bags you don't have a pickup. I thought it was if you needed spark plugs. Lol

Donvt listen to all the negative opinions. I have a one ton and have airbags on it and they smooth the ride . Semi's use them in conjunction with springs. Most shipping companys will not even ship on a spring ride rig . I owned semi trucks for years and air bag spring is the only way to go.

I have them on my 2001 Tundra. I use them to level out my truck when loaded, they are Amazing! I frequently tow a 16 flatbed car hauler. I plan on installing them on my MH for leveling as well as ride quality. I've installed them on family members vehicles, and haven't ever met anyone who has them
that dislikes them.

Actually many folks, especially 3/4-1 ton guys, use them when towing and let the air out when driving to work etc and the ride is better. Sure you can get the 14K lb leaf springs cause you tow a big trailer a couple days every month. But the truck rides like a buckboard on everyday driving. Adjustable air suspension is the way to go. This is why you see more and more of it on over the road big rigs. Loads vary. So should the suspension.

Its funny, guys will say upgrade your P rated tires to E rated tires but won't let you upgrade the suspension. I guess if you need E rated tires you still don't have enough truck. You should've got a 3/4 ton since they come with E rated tires.
