Air Conditioning

I just bought a 2007 26ft gulf stream kingsport travel trailer. It looks like there is 4 air vents in the ceiling, 1 in master bedroom, 1 in bunk room and 2 in the living area. when the AC is on, nothing comes out these vents. Does anyone know if these are air vents that just need to be ducted to the AC or do they have nothing to do with the air? Since we have a seperate master and bunk area I would think it is air vents but do not know for sure. Also, if these are air vents, is it hard to hook it to the AC?

Thanks..............

Randy

It sounds like someone replaced the a/c and put in the wrong ceiling assembly. Pull it off and you will be able to see whether it was ever attacted to the vents. You may be able to just purchase a new ceiling assembly

Randy, Hello and welcome to iRV2, Sounds like you do in fact have ducted roof air system and that some where there is a problem near the A/C unit that is blocking the air flow. Is there any sign that the unit has been repaired or replaced ? Or do you have any vents from the A/C grill on the ceiling that are moving air? First thing to do would be to drop the return air filter down and make sure someone has not pluged the return to stop cold drafts in winter. Then turn the unit on to see if it is drawing any air. Note some units run the compressor for 1>2 mins before the fan cuts in so that the air is cool as soon as the fan blows. Good luck.

Thanks,

All the pics i have seen on the internet shows a different AC unit. I think it has been changed. I will take a look at it and see whats going on. Hopefully an easy fix.
