anyone tow with a ram 1500-Hemi

I have been thinking of going from a Hybrid
(04 Jayco 23B) to a Jayco 27.5 BHS 5er.

It is 29.5" long, Unloaded 6575, GVW 8180.

I have a 2003 quad cab, short box, 1500 -Hemi with 3:55 rear end.
Tow rating is max 8900lbs.
Anyone tow with a 1500?
Or I might just go to a hard sided camper.

I have the same truck but with the 3.92 rear end. The towing limit on the 3.55 is closer to 7500. The 8900 is for the 3.92 rear end.

You have a max GCRW of 13000 pounds. You are going to be over that. By the time you add stuff to the trailer you will be over or very close to your max tow rating.

I am sure it will pull it but performance will not be great. The question of should you pull it it one only you can answer.

I've got an '04 Ram 1500 w/Hemi and am towing a 27' Pilgrim. I've got the towing package on the truck so I'm good to go, but then the weight for the Pilgrim is different (lighter) than your Jayco.

Also this truck is a 4x2 with tow package & tow mirrors. I Have also be looking at a Jayco 29Y hardside.
