Attachment with steerable axle

Yesterday I was talking with a guy that had a 5th wheel with an attachment connected to the rear. The attachment was connected with two 2" steel tubes about four feet apart and the axle had self steering wheels. He was using it to carry a Goldwing Trike. The flat deck was about 7' x 7'. I wish I had taken picture.

He called it an attachment not a trailer. He was registered in SD and the attachment did not require a tag.

Any idea who the manufacturer could be?

Thank Francis

They are called swivel wheel trailer attachments.

Jon, this one didn't have swivel wheels. The one I seen had a solid axle with two wheels, much like a truck front axle. The wheels had connecting linkage to turn both wheels together.

I actually saw one of these at a dealer. The original owner traded his rig and his trailer tote gizmo. My knee jerk reaction is wow, what a contraption. It just does not look quite right.

Wingnut60,

That's it. Now can you attached that to a motorhome and hook the car to it.

After looking at their website site you can tow a car with the Idaho Tote attached. Don't know if it is legal in all state.
