This will be my first pick-up. Have had three Toyota 4Runners SUV's (90' 99' & 05').

OEM mirrors all the way
I remember one of the Toyota dealers didn't know how to order "tow mirrors" as an option, so he priced them out as a dealer installed add-on. He quoted me $1700....

So for $40 I'll wait the 4-5 weeks to get them from the factory. My wife will sure enjoy not having to put on the tow mirrors we have used the last 9 years. No one makes a tow mirror for 4-Runners, so we used the CIPA universal tow mirror Which actually work well, but take 5-10 minutes to put on and adjust.

A thought came to mind yesterday before I signed paperwork for the Tundra, when I go to sell the truck, will it lower it's value because it has tow mirrors and not the fancy chrome ones. But I plan to keep this truck for many years, so might as well get exactly what I need and want. Will most likely get the extended Toyota warranty for 8 years 100k miles with "0" deductible.

Tow mirrors are a wash, some will like the mirrors, some will want the chrome mirrors. But in bluebook, i think it's a negligible to resale value after a few years. People are more concerned with the maintenance of the vehicle, dings, scratches and dents. It shouldn't have any effect on dealer trade in value.

I sure know my wife will like the larger view of the tt. But then come again...just about every time I ask her how are we looking because I'm thinking about a lane change, she is sound to sleep zzzzzz

Hum???

I'm going to have to run over more edge line rumble strips more often.

In the end I know if I didn't order them ( tow mirrors) I would kick myself for not. And for $40....That has to be the lowest priced option I ever ordered on any of the past Toyota's I have owned.
